Cardiovascular health is absolutely critical if you want to live a long time. Do something! Anything! Age reversal cardio can include anything that gets your heart pumping like cycling, running, hiking, and even walking. You don’t have to spend hours and hours doing it, but spending 20 minutes a day walking or something will pay huge dividends.
I continue to tweak my cardio routine, vacillating between long periods at moderate intensity to short periods of high intensity to long periods of low intensity. I am still figuring out what works for me.
Considering that we know the average ultrarunner has telomeres the length of the average person 16 years younger, cardio is an area on which I am hyper focused. Generally speaking, as you may have noticed from my double century ride, I believe my efforts are best spent on ultra endurance cardio activities.
